Madis A. George
Elder Madis George was born August 26, 1971. At the age of five she was baptized by the late Rev. Louis Wroten of Greater Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA. At the age of thirteen she accepted Christ under the covering of Pastor Joe R. Gant of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1989 and entered Southern University-Shreveport in August of that same year. In August 1996, she rededicated her life back to Christ under the covering of Bishop L. Lawrence Brandon and Co Pastor Wanda Brandon and has been a faithful and loyal member of Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral ever since. Elder George accepted her call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ December 8, 2003 and on February 8, 2004 she preached her first sermon. On Sunday, March 5, 2006 she received her Minister’s License and was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s church in 2007. In September 2022, Elder Madis George was elevated along with her husband Pastor Marcus George, to serve as Campus Pastors at Praise Temple of Shreveport, as Bishop Brandon expanded his ministry back home to Oakland, CA to Pastor the historic Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. In September 2023, Elder Madis George was elevated yet again to serve as Co-Pastor at Praise Temple of Shreveport alongside her husband, Pastor Marcus George. She is currently in her seventeenth year serving as Executive Assistant to the Third Presiding Bishop, Bishop L. Lawrence Brandon in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, International.
Elder Madis George is currently employed by the State of Louisiana and has over 23 years invested. She is a graduate of Louisiana Baptist University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling/Psychology.
Elder Madis George is married to Overseer Marcus George and they have one son, Reginald.
